I find myself, once again, highly motivated to make the time to drop you a note of thanks.
It means so very much to us to be able to keep our rental inventory in play, and in a condition that makes the touring pro artists smile with relief that they have arrived, a long way from home, to find backline gear working as it should.
You consistently scramble to make it possible for us to meet our market demand with a warm smile and solid advice. I consider you a part of my core team as you have helped us succeed through these many years.
So thank you, once again, for taking stuff that we've blown up, and getting it back on stage in time for the next big show.
Steve breathed new life into my old, dead, out-of-production-for-30-years tube amp. It sounds better now than it did when it was new. He's offered sound advice (pun intended) on every service he's done on my gear. Being a professional musician, he knows gear, and he has great ears. When he speaks, I listen. Highly recommended, a pleasure to do business with.
- Joel Tinnel
Many thanks for your assistance with my power amplifier. Genius is a very appropriate description for your application of knowledge and skill.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just wanted to tell you that my amp is the best it has ever sounded! my tone sounds great and I'm extremely satisfied. Thank you again for the quick turn around and all the advice yo gave me when purchasing my tubes. You without a doubt have my business from now on, and I will be sure to recommend you to other musicians in the area.
The R2 is everything I hoped it would be... much more control and versatility. Thank you for the clean work and quick turnaround. You are so easy to work with, I'm glad I found you in Charlotte.
Pleasure to meet you,
Mixer is working well, Steve -- Just wanted to thank you for helping all the musicians around the Piedmont to keep their equipment going -- all the music folks say -- take it to Steve -- he's the best. I agree!!
To all who need and value highest quality work!!
I have had the good fortune to have been referred to Steve Stoeckel over twenty years ago. I have a ’60 fender tremolux amp that needed to be restored to factory condition and took it in to him. Steve evaluated the equipment and then proceeded to do a premier job of restoring it. Over the years, people, when they hear this piece of equipment, never fail to comment on the quality of the sound from this amp. This is fully attributable to Steve’s prowess. I also had a more current fender amp in to be repaired and this was done in his usual professional manner. I also have had him perform repairs on two separate occasions (for different problems) to a 12 channel powered head for my PA with the same excellent results. Steve always conducts his business in an honest and straightforward manner. His evaluations are thorough and accurate. His quality is superb and his integrity is above reproach! there is no better technician in this region!
Sincerely w/ regards,
DC-7 "Flyin' Soul"
This is my testament to one of the most honest men I have ever met, Steve Stoekel . I just want to say thanks to you for your excellence and how you shoot straight from the hip from an honest perspective. You have repaired numerous components for me, mainly keeping my Mesa Boogie sharp. I like how you will not take on service work to pieces that aren't above board, pieces with no serial numbers or too damaged and could possibly still not work even after you have tried to fix it. Continue to do us well! Thank you .... Eric Brice
Steve Stoeckel has been repairing my oddball amps for years. Most of the stuff I own are either Sunn and acoustic amps. They are solid state in nature. Most people won't work on the kind of stuff I own, but Steve Stoeckel will!! He keeps my fleet of oddball amps running like tops! He can always count on me to bring unique rare items to be repaired. He never fails me; he always brings them back to life, and to top it off he is the nicest guy in Charlotte. I will continue to bring my amps to Steve to repair because he is the best amp repair in Charlotte NC.

I can say that I have never anything less than a positive experience regarding M.I. repairs with you dating back to the 70's at Reliable Music; later at Mcfayden Music; and it has actually only gotten better since you have been in business for yourself as the sole proprietor. I wish I could remember half of the units that you have got "up and running" for me over the years...but it"s all been good! From power amps to pedals; deluxe reverbs to deluxe mistresses (that's a flanger BTW) Well, you get the idea.
Steve Stoeckel has repairing my gear for many years, and I never had a problem with him. Only twice out of all the years of service I had to return a piece of gear to be corrected. The problem was corrected right away with no charge. Steve services has been best the I ever used, and the only one I trust to work on my gear. No one in this area can compare to Steve's service and turn around time.
I want to thank you for all the great work you have done for me over the last 25 years, going back to the days of reliable music. I am a bass player and also have a lot of pa equipment. You have repaired my GK bass amp, Genz Benz bass amp and Allen and Heath 16 channel mixer in the last few years, and every time it was fixed quickly and perfectly. I also work with a number of very fine keyboard players with very high end equipment that you have repaired very expertly. They are always relieved that you have been able to get to it and resolve the problem. We are very fortunate to have a repair person of your caliber in this area. Plus your are a great guy.
Thanks a lot, Steve!
Steve just want you to know that I appreciate the work you have done for me in the past 15 years, especially keeping my 1200 spinning like new thanks to the maintenance you have given them. Thank you once again. I'm very happy and comfortable recommending you to anybody.
Needless to say, the amp sounds great. Heck, it sounds better than it's ever sounded in its life. We didn't realize how muddy the overall bass was, and the thing was messing with the board's volume overall in the past. Thanks again, and you do great work, my friend!

Steve, Thanks for the great repair on my amp and for explaining what the problem was, and what you did to prevent it from recurring. I'd like to contribute the following comment for your website.
When my amp failed, friends would repeatedly make the same recommendation. "Take it to Steve Stoeckel." I'm so glad I did. When I dropped off my amp, it was obvious that Steve's business is brisk. I made a point, after seeing the number of amplifiers in the shop, that I am not a 'gigging musicians', so I was extremely and pleasantly surprised at how quickly my amp repair was completed. Further still, Steve took the time to explain exactly what failed and what was done not only to repair it, but to reduce the chance of another failure. All in all, this was the best experience possible and I will happily recommend Steve whenever someone asks me.
thank you so much for taking very good care of my Dumble Dumbleland Special #009, when she coughed & spluttered this morning I knew that you would be the man, even though it is built like a tank we all need a little TLC occasionally, thank you again
I just wanted to let you know that my board works again thanks to you. I appreciate the work you are doing by allowing folks like me to keep their equipment and not resolve to making new purchases. You're a life savor. Keep up the good work!
I am a customer of Steve Stoeckel's, and I have been for some 13 years or more. I met him at Mcfadden music on Indepenence Blvd a few years ago.
Steve has always been a fair person in fact if I had a problem with a repair (on a rare occasion) I could always take it back for a correction. There would be no complaining, He would I'm sorry and fix it at no charge! If I had a problem even with pricing, he would adjust it! I consider a great associate of mine, someone I can trust!

I have been well pleased with your services from the time I came into the shop and dropped off our keyboard and now that I have picked it up. Qe were able to use the keyboard this morning during our church service and didn't have a single problem with your repair work.
I feel confident in continuing business with you and will recommend you to anyone I may meet that has need of your services.
Thank you again,
- Clark Burgin
I have been doing business with you with great success for almost all of the 40 years you have been doing electronic repairs. That is the reason I continue to drive 2 hours to your shop in chartotte for you to work on my gear. you have always stood behind your work, and on the rare occasions that anything needed additional attention, you took care of it promptly, and without charge if it had anything to do with the original repair.
Congrats on all the years of success, and keep up the good work! As long as you're available, I don't intend to trust future repairs to anyone else, and if you ever need a reference from a very satisfied customer, please let me know.

To whom it may concern:
This letter is my personal recommendation for Mr. Stoeckel's work. I have been using his services since he was working at "Reliable Music", on Independence Blvd, probably 20 years ago.
I can give faith of his moral qualities and high professional ethics, his prices are reasonable and he knows what he is doing. The jobs that he has done to my equipments are well done, and I never had a complaint when he repaired my Mesa Boogie, Peavey Delta Blues, Carvin bass head, and so many other amps.
I will highly recommend him to my fellow musicians.

Steve Stoeckel has been repairing my equipment for almost 20 years at 4 different locations, and I would follow him wherever because he's the best. He is clearly a master of his craft and the huge amount of expensive amps that are under repair on a given day, show that many other musicians feel the same way. I rely on my amps to be working on a weekly basis, and I would not trust them to any one else; and for one of the main reasons is that Steve is one of the nicest and most honest people that I know. He has done things for me for free and has always turned my stuff around quickly. He would rather have a loyal customer than to profit from you. I will always bring my equipment to Steve! Thanks! See you soon. Steven Keim.
Steve Stoeckel has been repairing my amplifiers for over 30 years an association that began in 1981 with the repair of my 1968 50 watt Plexi Marshall. The amp head crashed to the ground while being removed from its road case and was damaged beyond what I thought was repairable. Steve was able to not only repair the damage but after his service, the amp looked and sounded better than ever before. From that moment on, a relationship was built on trust and quality service that today can not and will not be broken. He has been entrusted with the care and feeding of my "herd" ever since, whether its tweed or blackface Fenders, Plexi Marshall's, Vox AC30's, my "boutique amps" or my "pawn shop prizes", Steve has never failed me with his quality service and depth of knowledge. He has many a time gone the extra mile to make sure that my equipment was ready on time and for my next gig or session. He is without a doubt the best of the best when it comes to the service of my collection and I'm sure he'll do the same for you. Steve Stoeckel is a man of integrity and honor, who will do what he says and will stand behind his work. I'm proud of our friendship and association for many more years to come.
Ric Cavanaugh: Steve has been extremely helpful repairing and diagnosing problems with electronics that I have taken to him. He has gone as far as giving my power tubes and even making house calls to help address issues we have had with both of our Ampeg bass heads. He has always found the most effective and efficient course and is the only person in the area I would take an amplifier, keyboard or other electronics to be repaired.
I have taken amps to Steve Stoeckel for over a decade. Steve is an absolute professional and expert at amp repairs. Steve has gone as far as coming to a gig just to troubleshoot an issue that could not be re-created at his shop. After hearing the problem live, Steve was able to track down the issue and repair my amp. I don't know many people that would spend there night off going to here a client for the sake of figuring out an amp issue. If you are looking for the best in amp repair in Charlotte, go to Steve.

Steve Stoeckel has done lots of repairs & maintenance work for me over the last quarter century. He has worked on my Fender Deluxe Reverb, Fender Twin, Fender Showman, several other amps, effects pedals, etc. No matter what the issue, he is always able to diagnose it and get my rig up & running again. Charlotte musicians are fortunate to have Steve in our town; his excellent service ensures that we will be ready for the gig on saturday night.
